Established in 2020, James Healy Racing is one of the Sunshine Coast's rising thoroughbred trainers with years of training expertise on a national scale.  With Founder, James Healy at the helm, he decided his career was to be involved with thoroughbreds following in the footsteps of his grandparents' families who were all involved in the racing industry as successful trainers and jockeys.  After graduating year 12 at Nudgee College, James went on to study at Gatton College to become an equine veterinarian but soon realised his dream was to become a successful thoroughbred trainer.

James began working in Brisbane for various high-profile trainers including Robert Heathcote and Barry Baldwin before heading south to Melbourne to join the formidable Ciaron Maher and David Eustace team where he gained invaluable experience as Foreman learning as much as he could to enable him to begin his own training career.

Currently, having a small stable with an average of 8 horses in work, James is well on his way to bringing his dream to fruition.  James has a small, quality team behind him, with trackwork riders Tennille and Heidi both very experienced riders along with his hardworking team running the stables behind the scenes.  All of our team contribute so much to our horses being happy horses and happy horses make successful horses and successful horses make our Owners happy.
